Yes, it has been a while, I know. You are probably wondering why I never write on Blogger anymore. Well, I am sporadic--I don't like to do the same thing twice or any single thing at once. I am essentially a kid with ADHD, but somehow have been able to channel it productively. Anyway, enough with this stupid introduction I have been programmed to use by teachers in the past. Let's get to the good stuff.
For those of you who are friends with me on Facebook this is not new news, so I am sorry. At least this way you get the details and my more elaborate opinion, though in my experience the latter is rarely welcome.
Welcoming the idea of no rules, I think, is important for all people to at the very least ponder. As I thought about what this really meant, I came across a couple things, and in no way is this the extent of my list. For one, thinking this way takes full advantage of freedom. Some people have dietary restrictions or sleep restrictions. Or more commonly have restricted thinking or believing. We all have things we feel we can't do, not because we are not able to, but because of fear of taboo or "what others might think." I am one of them, and probably always will be. My point is not to make you think having rules are bad, my point is to let you realize that nothing is set in stone. Believes are great, in fact I think they are a key component in motivation. But, and there is a but, failing to consider and investigate other "things," is only doing you harm.
